12 mile run

Wednesday, Feb 23rd
Registered for Marine Corps Marathon on October 30th!!

Workout -
Compact Chain 10->5, repeat 10 twice with 10lb weights
push-ups, bent rows, bicep curls, triceps raises, and shoulder presses.
Next was Stephanie's cardio routine - 15 burpees, 14 push-ups, 13 burpees, 12 push-ups......down to 2 push-ups, 1 burpee.
Finished with some ab work.

Thursday, Feb 24th
Today I tested out my new GPS watch with a great 12.08 mile run.
It was a ~6mile loop twice with a pit stop at 6 miles.

Mile 1 - 8:33
Mile 2 - 8:39
Mile 3 - 8:53 (hilly)
Mile 4 - 8:29
Mile 5 - 8:28
Mile 6 - 8:38
Mile 7 - 8:33
Mile 8 - 8:42
Mile 9 - 8:58
Mile 10 - 8:32
Mile 11 - 8:37
Mile 12 - 8:30
Mile 0.08 - 41 sec
total time
1:44.18
Last time I did this loop, I finished in 1:46! Exciting.

Warm-down included stretching and a 0.51 mile walk with Molly and then 2 hours of leaf raking and pushing many wheel barrows full of the waste to our yard waste compost pile.
