Sunday, April 3rd was the 10 miler. It was 2 weeks after the 1/2 marathon, so I wasn't actually training for this race. I also started running probably too soon after and my left heel started hurting on Friday. It aches and feels like it is bruised. Sort like how your feet feel tired and sore after standing on them all day. Annoying:(
The race went well and I felt good. I didn't have a finish goal time, I just wanted to keep all my splits under 8:30.
I am taking this week off from running to allow my body to rest and heal.
I was 16th out of 74 in my age group and 170th out of 499 over all.
My time was 1:21:37 = 8:10min/mile average and dropped 2min off of my best time!!
